An evangelism training helps equip a church leader in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to share the Gospel.

Before I attended an evangelism training taught by Samaritan’s Purse there were many gaps in relation to how I preached the Gospel, as well as in my personal relationship with God, even though I served as a youth coordinator in my church.

The Samaritan’s Purse training impacted my life. It made me consider evangelism in action, and caring for the vulnerable and poor in order to meet both their spiritual and material needs.

Now, I know how to share the Gospel. I also made the decision to recommit my life to Jesus Christ and to begin evangelizing.

The training changed my perception of life and the world around me. Prior to the project, I did not invest my time in the lives of other people. However, because of God’s love, I have learned to see people as God sees them. I did not care for anyone whom I came into contact, but now when I meet people, my first thought is to share the Good News of salvation. I also try to think of ways to meet their needs.

I have recommitted my life to Christ. As Paul wrote in Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
