Clean Water Leads to Gospel Opportunities

Water filters and a training gives a local pastor an opportunity to share about Christ

Recently, Samaritan’s Purse distributed household water filters to families in northwestern Cambodia. Afterward, two hygiene officers conducted training to teach people how to use the filters, especially for hand washing. The villagers came with their children and were happy while learning and playing games. They concentrated on the lessons and participated in the trainings.

The training took place on a local church playground. After the lesson, the pastor of the church shared the Good News with the attendees. Many people said it was the first time they had attended the church, and we’re hopeful that they’ll attend a regular Sunday service next.

That sounds good that they attended church for the first time, however, did the pastor tell them how to enter the kingdom of heaven? Did people get saved? It takes more than just a passive conversation about God to lead people to the Lord. Salvation is the most important conversation anyone should have with unsaved people. God bless your missionaries that do help but we need to give the story of
salvation to everyone we come in contact with.
